Attorneys are investigating claims that Chrysler installed tracking cookies on users’ web browsers, even after those users specifically opted to disable cookies through the website’s Cookie Settings. If you’ve visited Chrysler’s website, chrysler.com, within the last 12 months, and used the Cookie Settings link to reject targeting cookies, you may be eligible to join a free class action lawsuit investigation.
Chrysler manufactures automobiles and operates its website at chrysler.com. When users first open the site, they are presented with a pop-up banner stating that “Your interactions and personal data may be collected on our website and used by us and out partners.” The pop-up banner contains a link to “Cookie Settings,” which allows users to disable the website’s collection of personal data through the use of cookies.
While Chrysler offers users the option to opt out of tracking cookies, Chrysler may have disregarded user preferences, and installed tracking cookies on their computers even after users requested to disable those technologies. This raises significant privacy concerns, as these cookies can collect personal data, track browsing habits, and potentially share personal data with third parties.
People who visited the Chrysler website over the last 12 months may be entitled to compensation as part of a class action lawsuit.
There are never any attorneys’ fees unless and until a recovery is made on your behalf.
